Re-clean reminders

We email you when a cleaned list is 90 days old, because lists go stale. Here's how it works and how to turn it off.

Updated October 7, 2026

Why lists go stale

Even a perfectly clean list decays. People change jobs, close old inboxes and let accounts lapse. Each of those turns into a bounce the next time you send.

What we send

When your most recent cleaned list is 90 days old, we send you one email. It shows the grade you got last time and has a link to clean your list again.

You get one reminder per list. The next one only comes after you've cleaned a new list and that one reaches 90 days.

Turning reminders off

Either:

  • click Stop re-clean reminders at the bottom of any reminder email, or
  • switch them off in Settings, under Email preferences.

The Email preferences section in Settings, with the Re-clean reminders switch turned on

You can turn them back on from Settings whenever you like.
